Diss Town Hawks U16's 2 v Old Catton Tigers U16's 0

Hawks returned to winning ways in the league with a hard fought home victory against a spirited Old Catton side.
The opening half was very tight and even, but with the half time whistle beckoning, it was the home side who took the lead when Joe Hilton won the ball in a challenge, strode through and fired the ball home across the keeper into the corner of the net.
Half time 1-0.
The second half saw a few more chances created than the first, Jack Glen was unfortunate to have a goal chalked off for offside following a fine flowing move.
Ben Way in the home goal made a fine double save to prevent an equaliser.
With seven minutes to go, Diss put the game to bed, when a nice through ball by Emile Tighe was finished off in fine style by Harry Pullen.
Full Time, 2-0 and a solid performance by Hawks, first clean sheet of the season, and some good football played at times in a competitive fixture.
Next week, Norwich Corinthians away in the County Cup, 10-30 kickoff.
