Diss started fantastically with Wymondham keeper dropping the ball and Ollie Booty smashing the ball home with under a minute on the clock 0-1 Diss. Jack Keeley thought he had doubled the lead only for the referee to disallow the goal as the ball hadn’t crossed the line. Diss carried on working hard in the midfield area with Sophie Turrell and Ollie Bower making some great tackles. Wymondham broke through the defence of Matthew Cosburn, Alfie Tubby and Olly Hinton and was able to score to level the tie 1-1. Throughout the first half, Tobiasz Wojcik in goal for Diss, was making some great saves to keep the score 1-1. Wymondham pulled ahead just before half-time to make the score 2-1 to Wymondham.
The start of the second half Diss piled on the pressure with Harley Tricker making some great runs down the right-hand side. Wymondham pulled further ahead making it 3-1.
Diss turned up the pressure yet again and Aedan Lambert, Charlie Watts and Jack Trudgill linked up well and Jack Keeley was rewarded with a well taken goal to make the score 3-2.
Diss pushed up further to try and equalise to push the game into extra time, but Wymondham broke through and with only minutes left extended their lead putting the game beyond Diss’ reach.
